Hampton Inn Colby

We were really happy with our stay. The staff were so friendly, the room was clean, and there were extra puddle jumpers by the pool. Breakfast had a great selection, including biscuits and gravy and some really good scones.

We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but the hotel welcomed our dogs. The small gym was great, and breakfast was tasty. A clean, comfortable room made this a good stop on our trip west. We'd stay again.

The room itself was nice, clean, and looked renovated, though the sink faucet leaked onto the counter and the smoke detector had been removed. I booked online and picked a room in the app, but that room showed as unclean after we arrived, so they moved us, which wasn't a big deal. What bothered me was being told I hadn't paid. Both the app and my credit card app showed the charge, so now I'll have to watch for a duplicate.

The location is right by I-70, which is handy if you need quick interstate access, but the trucks headed to the nearby truck stop seemed to keep going all night. The hotel is also out on the edge of town, so restaurants aren't especially close. Our beds were good and the room was comfortable, though the showerhead wasn't what we're used to at Hampton Inns. We could hear a lot through the adjoining-room door, including what sounded like some loud gymnastics next door. Breakfast was good, with oatmeal, eggs, sausage links, scones, and other choices. We only saw one luggage cart, and even for a fairly small Hampton Inn, there ought to be more than that.
