Eagle Inn

We like staying here. The owners are polite and helpful, keep most nights quiet, and charge reasonable daily and weekly rates. We've stayed in several rooms, and the fridges and microwaves have been clean and working. Some motels charge more and don't even provide those. It's close to several churches, good Mexican food, and right across from Casey's. I worried after reading the bed bug reviews, but there aren't any bed bugs here. Those reviews must be from upset people who brought their own bugs. I could go on and on about this place.

The hot water was almost gone by 6 a.m. It seems like they shut it off at 10 p.m., and we know it was them. I understand it's freezing outside, but turning off the hot water without warning is illegal. I wish they'd told us so we could shower before it ran out.

The AC units keep shutting off every couple of minutes, and in this hot, humid weather we couldn't get any air. This place isn't worth even $50 a night. I'd rather have stayed in my car. Spend the extra $20 for a better hotel.

There was loud banging through the night, every 7-10 minutes, and it never let up. Add bugs in the room, a mattress only marginally better than the floor, and a microwave that looked like it had been pulled from a rage room. Even the door looked like SWAT had practiced breaching it. If you've got $100 to burn, this is the place.
