Baymont by Wyndham Las Vegas South Strip

The breakfast was decent, with waffles, muffins, coffee, and eggs, though it was nowhere near amazing. The rooms are what made this stay so awful. In the first room, the sheets looked worn and the carpet and walls were stained. There was hair all over the shower, including the floor, seat, and handles. When I turned on the handheld shower, it was so loose it came off the wall and soaked my hands and the bathroom floor. I hadn't realized I'd booked an accessible room, but its size initially seemed like a nice surprise. Then I saw the condition of it. I called the desk and was moved to another room, only to find that one was even worse, with old, fading paint that looked like it belonged in a crime scene from decades ago. I attached pictures because this probably sounds like a rant. We were in Vegas for two nights and had seen mixed reviews, but I would never stay here again. If this were the only room left in town, I'd sleep in my car.

The front desk was great about moving me, but the second room had the same mold problem. There was mold all over the bathroom, and the carpets clearly had seen a lot of use. Don't trust the pictures. If you have a respiratory issue, this place may be a bad fit. There was nowhere to plug in my charging cables, and the microwave made a weird noise when plugged in.

I was here for a work trip and work nights, so the noise meant I couldn't sleep. There was a party, loud music, and kids running up and down the halls, with no consideration for guests who needed some peace. My room smelled musty, the showerheads had mold, and the door looked as if someone had once tried to kick it in. Don't stay here.

We stopped here overnight on a road trip, but it was way overpriced for what we got. The room was dirty and worn: stained carpets and sofa, plus food, trash, and small pieces of broken glass inside the sofa bed when we opened it for the kids. There were long hairs on a pillow too. I cleaned things up and tried to move on, but then the TV didn't work, the mini-fridge wasn't cold, and the AC took ages to start and couldn't keep the room cool. The window screen was missing, which worried me for safety. We thought about leaving, but the nearby hotels were mostly sold out and we were told this was the last room. After three hours in traffic and unloading the car, we just needed the kids to sleep, so we stayed. The man who checked us in was nice, while the woman at checkout was just okay. When I raised the problems at checkout, they said I'd need to speak with the GM, which I plan to do. I also later noticed we were charged a pet fee and tax for each of our two dogs, despite confirming by phone with reservations and the front desk before booking that the fee was per stay. Keep looking if you can.
