The Harbor Rose Bed & Breakfast

The Victorian Room had a king-size bed, a fireplace, and a balcony of its own, and the bathroom was lovely, with a bathtub and organic toiletries. I was glad to find makeup remover wipes there after realizing I’d forgotten mine. The breakfast totes were just what we needed, and Deirdre’s rich, decadent homemade chocolate muffins were vegan, along with everything else in the breakfast. We finished eating on the balcony, looking out at the harbor as colorful fall leaves and warm sunshine made the view feel magical. My boyfriend and I had been hoping to stay at The Harbor Rose for a while because it’s near some of our favorite shops and hiking trails in CSH village. Deirdre, the host and Innkeeper, greeted us with complimentary wine and showed us around the main areas of the home. She had great energy and was attentive to our needs throughout the stay. I’d definitely recommend this place for its history, thoughtful details, amenities, views, and hospitality. We’ll be back!

We stayed nearly a week at this historic home, and from Grace’s first inquiry about the cleaning and laundry products to our departure, we felt like family. Deirdre was gracious, attentive, and listened closely to everything we said and even what we left unsaid. I’ve worked in hospitality for a long time, so I really appreciated how carefully she anticipated our needs. The beds were comfortable, the second-floor balcony had an amazing view, and there was a cozy working fireplace. The whole home’s water was filtered. The daily breakfast bundles were organic, gluten-free, and vegan, with home-baked breads, fruit, snacks, and other thoughtful treats that tasted like they were made with love. We’re looking forward to coming back. My wife and I had been looking for a short staycation about a month earlier, but finding a place that understood and could accommodate MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) was difficult. Industrial cleaners, regular detergents, and even some “green” cleaning products can cause problems for people with chemical sensitivities. Deirdre knew a lot about the challenges, took time to hear our requirements, and went far beyond what we expected to arrange for our comfort. We’ve stayed in hotels, motels, and B&Bs, and very few showed the same interest in our needs. I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Many blessings 🙏.

The views from the house were incredible, and the room was clean and comfortable. I loved my stay at the rose harbor b&b. It was my first time in the area, and the house had a cozy, welcoming feel. Deidre was warm and welcoming, and even helped me with an unexpected car problem. I highly recommend staying here!

We booked chilled champagne for our anniversary and enjoyed it on our private balcony overlooking the water. The foot detox soak was also very relaxing and well worth it. We spent one night in the Victorian room, where Deidre has made an elegant, luxurious B&B feel especially personal, with every detail carefully considered. The rooms were immaculate, with elegant bedcovers, sheets, and towels, and the organic, healthy breakfast added a lot to the visit. Soft robes, slippers, and special soaps were lovely touches. The Harbor Rose is a step above a standard hotel, and Deidre made our special day feel even more special.
