Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis - Southeast by IHG

We had a spacious room with two king beds, which my husband and I really appreciated after driving through torrential rain. The property was well kept, parking was easy, and getting through the entrance and lobby was straightforward. The desk attendant was personable and professional. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Breakfast was good, and the food service staff were friendly. The rest of the stay ended badly. We were there three nights, January 16-18, for the 2026 JamFest Cheer Super Nationals. On the last night, around 11:30, we heard dripping and found the ceiling over the shower leaking. The leak reached the outside wall by the room entrance, the mini fridge, and electrical outlets. I used towels to keep water off the carpet. We’d noticed a bad patch job and a wobbly fridge on day one, but hadn’t worried until the leak made us feel unsafe. I showed a video to the friendly overnight staff member, who had no name tag, and gave him our room number, 330. He called someone and said they couldn’t deal with the leak until tomorrow, which I understood. He thanked me but didn’t offer anything else, so I said we couldn’t stay with water on the floor and a leaking ceiling. He looked surprised, then found us another room. We moved to room 323 and were settled by 12:30. He mentioned that someone on the fourth floor had taken a bath and caused the problem. I asked to speak with the manager in the morning, hoping to pay for just two of the three nights because the leak disrupted our rest and made us feel unsafe. At 7 a.m., I spoke to Vek, who said the manager wasn’t in yet. When we checked out at 8:30, there was still no manager, and Vek said he couldn’t adjust the charge. He agreed we’d had a bad night and said he’d talk to the manager. I said we’d call once home if we didn’t hear back. No one called that day. My wife called the next day, and a woman who said she was the manager told her she knew of no problems, was too busy to talk, and would call back. When my wife asked if she needed her name and room number, the woman said to give her the room number and added that a manager would have to approve a refund. My wife pointed out that she’d just said she was the manager. It’s been five days; the full charge posted yesterday, and there’s been no call or refund. Poor management and a terrible experience.

The staff are really nice, like genuinely nice, and I love the roomy rooms, beds, and bathroom. The pool and workout area are great too. So far it’s been incredible. I’m just hoping we haven’t done anything to lose our incidentals, since we’re traveling with kids.

The rooms are clean and the pool area is good. The breakfast guy did a great job this morning: everything was clean, and he clearly took pride in making breakfast a good experience. I liked the single fresh-cup coffee dispenser too. I do wish breakfast opened before 7 a.m.
