Rancho Loma recommended we try the Terrace Inn after its four rooms were booked. We were delighted by the 1958 house and would happily stay again. On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely cocktail. Breakfast was good too, and the big front windows gave us a view we really enjoyed.

Jane and Mark made us a specialty "Loftini" when we arrived, then showed us around and shared the history of the house and loft. They also had several ideas for things to do around town. Their made-to-order breakfast was lovely, especially the muffins made with a sourdough starter that’s been in their family for generations. The Loft had fun decor and heavenly beds, and everyone we met in Coleman was so friendly. I was blown away by the hospitality at The Terrace Inn. I can’t wait to bring my husband for a relaxing getaway!

After a 12 hour drive, we arrived at this beautifully restored inn and were welcomed so warmly by Jane and Mark. Jane showed us around the mid-century modern house, shared its history, and offered a handcrafted cocktail made for the Terrace Inn. We stayed in the Loft next door, which has its own personality, a kitchen, and two bedrooms. It would suit a family, a girls’ weekend, or a couple wanting extra space and privacy. The King Size Bed and Frette Linens gave us some of the best sleep we’ve had. The amenities felt high end, including hand crafted soap made nearby. At breakfast, Mark’s homemade sausage was so good it could be sold commercially. He and Jane clearly love pampering guests. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and Jane added lovely touches with a hash brown casserole, fresh fruit, yogurts, home made bread, and her biscuit and muffin combination she calls buffins. There are a few surprises I’ll leave for you to discover. It’s rare to meet a couple with such a gift for hospitality, food, and local knowledge. Jane and Mark are on Coleman’s economic development committee, and this place could draw people looking for a sophisticated stay while shopping for mid-century treasures. Coleman has a wonderful shop for retro 50's & 60's furniture and memorabilia that brings buyers from Dallas, Houston, Austin and L.A. We were already planning our next trip before signing the guest book. It’s worth the drive!

We spent five nights at this bed and breakfast, and the home was dreamy. The bed was so comfortable, everything was kept very clean, and all the little details made the stay feel extra special. The food and service were outstanding, and we enjoyed every minute. Coleman was delightful too, with tasty food, friendly people, and a relaxing feel. I can’t recommend this B&B enough.

I haven’t stayed here, though I’ve seen the place and spent some time there, so my rating is based on a very limited experience. It’s really nice, super clean, and the grounds are well kept. There’s a lovely view over town, and it seems like a great spot for a quiet getaway, hunting, or other plans that call for staying away from home. With more time there, I’m sure I might have rated it four or five stars.
