Best Western Colfax

At checkout I got a receipt with my name, but the other details and room number were wrong. The amount I'd paid on the first day was right, so I didn't think much of it until a $100 charge appeared on my card the next day. When I called, they said a note on my account claimed a comforter was missing. No one had called me, and I didn't take one. The front desk worker told me to dispute it with my bank and call back in a couple of days to speak with a manager. Now I'm stuck filing a claim and getting a new card over something I didn't do. We were here for a wedding, and the room was dirty. There were stains on the sheets, a big shoe print in the shower, little gnats coming from the bathroom sink, rust in the shower, and holes in the walls. My family's rooms were in similar shape. I won't stay here again or recommend it. There are probably quieter, cleaner places.

We came here to wait out the winter weather and got a lower room rate. The room was very nice, the staff were excellent, and breakfast was better than at a lot of other places. There's a small retail area an easy walk away. We'd definitely stay again.

We were stranded in Colfax because the road was closed, so we booked two rooms and received confirmation. At check-in time, they said there weren't any clean rooms and we'd have to wait. Five minutes later, the front desk manager canceled our reservation, saying they were overbooked. The other person at the desk said rooms were available but weren't ready. I would give the service zero. The manager is apparently the owner's nephew, and it seems that's the only reason he has a job. I wouldn't try staying here again. Avoid this badly run motel.

Breakfast was good, with the usual eggs, sausage, and potatoes you get at most motels. The room itself was okay, and the bed was very comfortable. But the carpets in both the room and public areas were dirty and stained, which made us question how clean the motel was overall.
