The breakfast was lovely, and Guy is a friendly, informative innkeeper. There aren’t any bathtubs, though. The place is on beautiful acreage that’s easy to find, and the spacious upstairs common room has a TV, wine, coffee and tea, plus a pool table I loved. It works well for a family gathering or just the two of us.

I was picking up a friend this time, but I’ve stayed here before and always appreciate the amazing view in every direction. From the high hilltop you can see for miles. My friend says the stay was restful and the hosts were excellent. I highly recommend it.

Tim and Lynn made our few days especially lovely. They were kind, respectful, helpful, professional, warm, funny, and friendly, and Lynn’s spectacular breakfast was a wonderful start to each morning. They also know a lot about local attractions and culture. The owner lives on site and was gracious and welcoming. After a long, difficult year, we needed a little piece of heaven, and this place delivered. The decor is charming, richly textured, and balances class with comfort. Everything was immaculate, inside and out, with breathtaking views and a quiet, inviting feel. There’s plenty to explore on the property, or you can simply relax. One thing to know: we were the only guests during our visit, which is very unusual. If you especially love peace and quiet, try a weekday or the off season.

Really quiet, with super clean rooms and friendly staff. I loved the pool table in the common room. It’s a nice remote getaway, and I’ll definitely be back.
