I drove about four hours hoping for a comfortable stop before heading to the airport, but this wasn’t a pleasant stay at all. For the first time in all my travels, I lost money instead of paying for a relaxing night. The room smelled of cigarettes, roaches crawled on the floor, the bathroom was filthy, and the walls had handprints like someone had been working in a coal mine. I wish I’d read the reviews before trusting a brand. Management’s apology doesn’t cut it. This goes beyond customer service, and I challenge them to stay in one of these rooms and experience what guests have to deal with.
There are lots of restaurants nearby, which was handy for our family of three, and we were able to settle in and enjoy some peace. Management was helpful and respectful throughout our stay. The Days Inn building is beautiful, almost like a mini mansion from outside, and inside it’s clean. Bugs weren’t much of an issue, which was a relief, and the staff keep the place in order. That kind of care shows. For us it’s been a pleasant stay that exceeded expectations in a lot of ways. I’d recommend this Days Inn if you need somewhere solid, clean, and convenient for a short or longer stay.
The rooms have felt clean, cozy, and like home, and the cleanup staff are consistently respectful and thorough. New management really seems to care, with a lot of heart and authenticity in how they do things. My family and I have been here for over a month while relocating from Savannah to Atlanta. It’s been a safe haven through a major transition. The prices are very affordable, and they work with you. If you’re honest, they’re understanding and fair, which I really appreciate. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re starting fresh, rebuilding, or just need a peaceful place to land.
The bed was awesome, and we slept really well starting the first night. We enjoyed our 10 day stay. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the cleaning staff do a good job. We went out to grab breakfast and came back to find the room already cleaned and reset. They’re refurbishing the property.
We’re Wyndham rewards members and thought this inexpensive Days Inn might work, even with the small issues you can run into on a trip. Instead, we had a terrible experience. People we took to be homeless were hanging around the property and staring as we drove in. We waited 30 minutes in a lobby with no air conditioning and inappropriate music, while the front desk struggled with slow WiFi to process room requests. We also heard them talk down to and be rude to the African American customers ahead of us. When it was our turn, an agent read my credit card information out loud to another agent where people nearby could hear it. Our assigned room was on the third floor, but the elevator was out of service and there were no first floor rooms for my pregnant wife. Guest laundry was also out of service. Walking through the building and stairwell meant trying to avoid secondhand smoke, trash, and mold. The room was mostly clean, which was a surprise, aside from stains on the ceiling and walls and a broken smoke detector. The mattress was about as bad as expected. We might have slept after arriving, but people argued and fought loudly in the hallway until 1 a.m., and the front desk ignored my call about it. In the morning, we went down for the advertised breakfast and learned the hot breakfast had been shut down because of homeless people. They offered a small refund to “cover the cost of breakfast,” but we would have booked somewhere else if we’d known beforehand. We still like Days Inn and will stay at other locations, but this one left us with a bad, secondhand smoke flavored taste in our mouth.
