The room was a good deal, and I stayed for five days without complaints. I enjoyed the breakfast, pool, and gym, and was able to relax. Staff were especially kind and went out of their way to make my stay nicer. When I needed towels and toothpaste, they offered to bring them up. Check-in and checkout both went smoothly. I really appreciate friendly people like that.

The price was good, and at first the room seemed cozy and clean. Then I noticed a hole above the shower, and while I was in there a chunk of drywall fell from the ceiling. That wasn’t a great hotel experience.

After a full day of travel, it took us a while to figure out the unusual layout and where to park and find our room. Once inside, it was a standard room, just what we needed, with a double bed and a twin, an interesting setup I hadn’t seen before. The walls were thin: we felt the couple next door shaking the wall or beds, and could hear every hallway step and doors closing upstairs and down. The plumbing was loud enough that we hesitated to flush in the middle of the night. The shower and sink got hot very quickly, and the water heater seemed great. Breakfast was generous, with a good range of options. The hotel is well located near the college and not too far from DC.

The room was a good value and clean, though a little cramped. The lights and appliances all worked, and the shower could get hotter if you wanted. Staff at the pleasant lobby were kind and answered my questions quickly. Breakfast is served there, but I wasn’t impressed with the choices. The lobby and rooms are in separate buildings, so you have to walk outside between them, which could be inconvenient in bad weather.

We had eight people and just needed somewhere decent to sleep after a long drive, nothing fancy. We arrived around midnight, got the keys, and found that two of our three rooms had no running water. The third had a leaking A/C and wet floors from condensation. There was still urine on a toilet seat in another room, and all of them smelled like nursing homes. We asked to switch rooms, but the replacements were worse. One sink had puke in it, so we left.
