Radisson Hotel Atlanta Airport

The room was beautiful, the bed was really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked extremely well. The bar was a nice feature, the food was pretty good, and the lounge area inside looked attractive. But there isn’t much to do at the hotel itself. Outdoors, there’s only a bench behind the building, with nothing particularly fun or entertaining. The extra charges were a major letdown. We paid for parking each night and had to pay for breakfast. Two bottles of water and a pack of Skittles cost $16, which felt excessive. You can only get free water in the gym. A lot of hotels have water in the lobby, and I think that would be a nice addition here. Bring your own case of water if you stay, and you’ll save a lot. The gym was disappointing too, with outdated equipment that could use an upgrade. I was glad I brought my own soap and lotion, since the hotel only offers bar soap and travel-size shampoo and conditioner. The water never got very hot either. Our toilet didn’t flush properly, and I had to ask maintenance twice before it was fixed. This was my second stay. The location isn’t terrible: it’s outside Atlanta but close enough to the city, with lots of major chain restaurants nearby. The surrounding area isn’t the nicest, though it might suit people who want to stay outside the busy downtown area. My partner and I are locals and just wanted a short getaway. You get what you pay for, but despite some good points, I was disappointed and wouldn’t call this a standout stay.

I booked here at the last minute because airport problems left my preferred hotels full. Availability is the only reason I gave it this rating. I called several times hours ahead to ask about early check-in because I was exhausted, and each time I was told yes, I could check in at noon. I arrived a little after noon, but the man at the desk said the room wasn’t ready and that he’d let me know. He never did. I had to go back to the desk several times, including after the normal check-in time, before the room was ready. He was also very strange about the card I was using and insisted on “checking” them out. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels and never had that happen. I was waiting out front for bags and saw that he didn’t check the other person’s card when they checked in. Another woman kept asking me if I was checking in, then walking away before I could say anything. Customer service needs improvement overall. The mattress had several brownish-orange stains. The toilet needed wiping down, and the shower trim and soap holder needed cleaning. I wish I’d taken pictures, but I didn’t. If this is the only place available, I can understand staying here, but otherwise, no.

The hallway noise was noticeable at night, and it took the air conditioner a while to cool the room. Those weren’t deal-breakers, though. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s rest, and the front desk staff were polite and welcoming. Check-in went smoothly. The shuttle was on time and made getting around easy. My stay at the Radisson Hotel Atlanta Airport was mostly positive and convenient, especially if you need to be close to the airport.

The staff made the stay for me. Everyone was pleasant, cooperative, and attentive, and they greeted guests with a genuine smile. Room service was prompt and very nice, and the food was consistently good, with fresh, flavorful options. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with comfortable furnishings that made it feel like a home away from home. Though it’s near the airport, it was a peaceful place to rest after a long day of travel. The location made arrival and departure stress-free. My recent stay at the Radisson Hotel was wonderful, and I’ll certainly stay again. I highly recommend it for travelers looking for convenience and quality.
