For $60 a night, the price is fair, the staff are friendly, and the grounds are kept up well. There's a maintained pool, hot breakfast every morning, a full kitchen in the room, and plenty of amenities. The room cleanliness brought it down to three stars for me: it seemed like they made the beds and did a quick pickup, without properly cleaning the bathroom or kitchen. There was trash in all the bins, and the bedside lamps and clock couldn't reach an outlet.

We'd come back, especially for the hot breakfast, the shuttle to the Houston Medical Center hospitals, and how close it is to them. The kitchenette is handy and the place is clean. Still, it feels unfinished. Some closets were missing a rail or shelves, some switches didn't work right, and you could see wires and paint splashes. The furniture varied by room too, and the mattresses in our first room were much more comfortable than in the second.

The room was pleasant, nothing fancy, and having a kitchen is useful if you want to cook. The price felt fair. Finding the entrance took some effort, though, and the key card was frustratingly hard to use. Maybe it was just the card for my room.

The beds were comfortable, and Kroger is right next door. Breakfast was excellent, and the shuttle to MD Anderson runs every half hour and was always on time. For a pickup, you just call them.
