Residence Inn Houston-West University

Niecey and Brandi at the front desk took such good care of me that saying goodbye was kind of hard. The grounds were well kept, the bedrooms and shared spaces were clean and welcoming, and the pool and hot tub were nice places to relax without leaving the property. It's a nice spot for an extended stay. The only thing I'd improve is the laundry setup: there was always one broken item, the dryer but not the washer. All around, a great stay!

After a terrible experience at another hotel, I got in close to midnight and was relieved they still had a room for me and my pup while we were traveling cross country. Maryann at the front desk was so sweet and kind, and got us checked in for the night. The room was nice and smelled nice too.

The rooms are simple, quiet, and spacious, but the people really made this a five star stay. They kindly helped me print papers I needed for a conference, and when I forgot my belongings in the room, they were very helpful in getting them back to me. Very pleasant people and very professional.

All four wheels and tires were stolen from my Grand Cherokee overnight. The car was in plain sight by the main entrance, and there are no outdoor security cameras. They also double booked our room with family and assigned us to the same room instead of the separate rooms we'd booked. The rooms were clean enough, but had a musty smell, and the toilet wouldn't stop running. Staff were somewhat helpful and friendly, though they couldn't do much. Overall, not impressed.
