For $144, I expected a lot more. The room felt like somewhere between a decent Super 8 and a very good Motel 6, nowhere near the standard of any BW I’ve stayed at around the country. It was sparsely furnished, and there wasn’t even silverware for the kitchenette. The bathroom sink had almost no pressure and no hot water; the tub faucet was weak, and the shower head only mediocre. The water was lukewarm at best. At this rate, I’d stay away. This room should have been about $75.

We stayed January 16-19, 2026, and this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. When we arrived, they said our confirmed reservation had been sold to someone else and put us in a much worse room. There was no apology or urgency to fix it. That night, after we’d gone out briefly for dinner with family, we came back around 9:30 to find our belongings had been put in buckets. The front desk clerk told us she had moved them and said they were as we found them, as the pictures show. Nobody had asked or told us beforehand. Having our things removed and put in another room without our permission made us feel violated and unsafe. The room where our belongings ended up was filthy. The mattress was visibly dirty, the toilet didn’t work properly, and the room overall was disgusting. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and was given the runaround. I was told one would be there the next morning, but nobody showed up, and I was late for an important engagement. No one took responsibility or offered a solution. After trying for four days, I finally spoke to the manager. I had to go through a third party because the hotel wasn’t returning my calls and kept saying she was in a meeting. She couldn’t explain why they’d moved our things, only that they’d tried to reach me. That still doesn’t give them a reason to touch our belongings without consent. Please make me understand how that is okay. Nobody accepted accountability for the oversold booking, the downgrade, moving our things, or putting us in unsanitary conditions. It was unprofessional and disrespectful, and I’d tell anyone thinking of staying here to think twice. They clearly don’t take guests or customer service seriously.

The front desk gentleman is a big part of why we enjoy coming back. He’s quick, friendly, polite, always smiling, and made us feel welcome. He was even working with a broken elbow without slowing down. We’ve stayed here whenever we’re in Spring, Texas, and haven’t been disappointed. The rooms are clean, nice, and comfortable, and there’s free hot breakfast every day. It’s right off the highway, across from a shopping center and Walmart, with plenty of food options within walking distance. There’s also a cooked crumble nearby for after. Give it a try, you might enjoy it as much as we do.

The front desk lady was wonderful and handled things well, and everyone else we dealt with was nice and helpful. But one housekeeper made our stay really unpleasant. She was a tall, skinny, older Hispanic lady. When I asked about cleaning the room, she kept saying it wasn’t her room. I also asked for towels, and she said she’d already put some out. It was me, my husband, and our three kids, five of us with only two towels. My husband’s company had booked the hotel three months ahead because we’re from out of town. On Sunday we went to pick up things from our house and asked the front desk if our room could be serviced while we were gone. When we got back, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed and the bathroom was still dirty. It was clear only the bed had been made. My husband spoke to the front desk lady, who talked to the housekeeper. The next morning the housekeeper came yelling at me, demanding to know what was wrong with her work and why I’d complained and gotten her in trouble. I said the floor wasn’t vacuumed. She told me her vacuum didn’t really work. How is that my fault as a guest? She could have asked to borrow another one. She also said she was a housekeeper, not my personal maid. That was way out of line. I don’t usually complain and try to go with the flow, but cleaning is part of what you pay for, especially on a long stay like ours. I do my best to keep the room tidy and take our trash all the way down to the dumpster, so I don’t understand why she thought yelling at a paying guest was okay. I’m grateful the front desk lady spoke to her about it, but the encounter still made the stay unpleasant.

I had decided not to post a Google review after the guest survey, until I noticed a $145 charge for what was supposed to be a $100 room. The room wasn’t the king I reserved, either, it was a queen. The tub was so clogged that a thick brown ring formed, and I couldn’t shower without standing in filth. It was stuffy and unbearable after they’d recently painted, and the windows don’t open. The pillows barely count as pillows anymore, and the mattress was uncomfortable. This felt like a low quality Motel 6. I’ll never stay with a business that does whatever it wants with your credit or debit card details. Shame on you.
