Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast

That ground-floor Rio Vista room worked especially well for us and our elderly Maltese, who needed to go outside a few times overnight. We did our best to keep quiet, and the patio, with sand and leaves, gave our little dog a handy place to go. The room had all we needed, including a fridge to keep the pup's food fresh and a coffeepot. Outside, the views were lovely, and watching the pool waterfall was calming. We'd requested the romance package. After a fabulous dinner at the Enchanted Forest, we returned to rose petals across the room, chilled champagne, chocolates, and a tasty chocolate caramel cake. It looked beautiful and tasted great. Breakfast the next morning was delicious too, with eggs, toast, fruit, avocado, juice, cheese, tomatoes, coffee, and tea. This B&B gave us everything we wanted for the stay. Thank you, Bella Vista, for such a wonderful night.

The service was thoughtful and far better than at a standard hotel. This place has a character all its own, and I'm definitely coming back.

A breakfast basket was left at our bedroom door, and we ate it on the balcony while watching a peacock wander by. The quiet setting and far-reaching views were lovely. Bella Vista is beautiful throughout, inside and out. I spotted a bedroom with a big window facing the pool and hills stretching into the distance. That's where I'll stay on my next visit. For a peaceful, charming escape, I'd put this place on the list.

We celebrated our 26th anniversary here and came away with a lovely memory. The location worked well for exploring: our American River half-day rafting trip was a 10-minute drive, and Placerville's art galleries, craft shops, antiques, and coffee were about 20 minutes away. There were also farms and other places to explore nearby. We enjoyed the honeymoon suite, pool, tasty breakfast, easy check-in, and friendly service. There was a cozy chair on the deck outside our room, and the view was amazing. We even saw a peacock roaming near the pond and relaxing hammock. If you want to use the poolside jacuzzi, give them at least 2 or 3 hours' notice. We're not wealthy, and we saved for this anniversary trip, but we felt the place was worth the fee. We'll keep an eye out for a good deal so we can return. Thanks for helping make such a great anniversary memory for my wife.
