La Quinta Inn & Suite by Wyndham Lake City

Everything at the hotel was spotless: our room, the elevator, lobby, and breakfast area. I'm repeating spotless because my wife is fussy about cleanliness. Breakfast had sausage gravy and biscuits, a tasty change from what we get back home. Sony's BBQ is a short walk away, and with the wind blowing toward the hotel that day, choosing where to eat was easy. We were on a long-drive vacation and needed a halfway stop, so we booked and paid through Priceline . Then I called La Quinta to confirm what Price line had told us. Jazz, a young woman I spoke with, was enthusiastic and helpful, and I really appreciated it. We met Ms. Jazz at check-in the next day, and she was even more enthusiastic in person. She had the same great attitude when we saw her again at checkout.

We were taken in at the last minute after a bad experience with another hotel, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The property was beautiful and very clean. Our dog barks at everything, but the room was surprisingly quiet and we couldn't hear through the walls at all. Parking felt easy and safe, and we enjoyed the hot breakfast. People at the church behind the hotel were rude to us for walking our dog near their property. That wasn't the hotel's fault. We really appreciated the hospitality and would absolutely stay again. Friendly front desk staff and easy online check-in. The rooms are modern, updated, and clean, with a great shower and comfortable king bed. My only downside is the lack of hypo-allergenic rooms for people with pet allergies. Otherwise, a solid 5!

This Laquinta Inn in Lake City, Florida is the nicest one I've stayed at, and I've been to a lot. They accepted my pet without charging an arm and a leg. The rooms are very clean, modern, new, and smell great; the staff is awesome, and the food is good. They even had cheese grits! I'm leaving a review and a tip because their phone checkout system is so good. You tell them in the morning when you're checking out, and they don't hassle you or hang around your door knocking and making noise before checkout, even with a do not disturb sign. That's my biggest hotel pet peeve, and all the others do it. I'm so pleased. Thank you, la Quinta Inn Lake City, Florida.
