Tru by Hilton Lake City

The staff were really friendly, and the location worked perfectly for us, just a short ride off the interstate. I was surprised by the place. Tru has a clean, modern style, and though the rooms are small, they have what you need. The minimal setup made me think of European hotels, where the space is small but well planned. And the pancake machine was a fun extra.

The pillows we got were awful, and the pillowcases smelled used. On February 10th, we chose your property for one night and asked for extra pillows because of a medical condition. My husband was first told that extra pillows weren't usually provided. After he insisted, they reluctantly gave us three, although we'd asked for four, and the response felt like we could take it or leave it. As Diamond members, we expected service and accommodation in keeping with that level, so this was disappointing. We had already tried to reach the property and asked for a manager to call us back so we could resolve the issue, but nobody responded, which is why I'm writing. We respectfully ask for the 40,000 points used for our February 10th stay to be returned to our account, and for the 2000 points we acquired fir the stay to remain as a courtesy. We look forward to a prompt response and resolution, no later than 02/23.

The nearby highway was a little noisy, but it didn't spoil a great stay. Inside the Tru Hotel by Hilton in Lake City, FL, it was pleasantly quiet and easy to relax. The modern spaces were comfortable, and the hotel was impressively clean. The staff were warm, friendly, and ready to help with anything I needed. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone passing through Lake City.

The shower had great water pressure, and that shower head was so good I wanted to take it home, lol. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety, and the employee working there was super friendly. Every staff member we met greeted us with a smile and checked if we needed anything. Such a great experience, and really close to the highway.
