Hyatt Place Colorado Springs Downtown

We had a great stay at this clean, friendly, affordable hotel, and we’ll be back. Parking information could be clearer: we used the garage across the street for $10, where you can also catch a bus to about anywhere. Valet parking is another option, or street parking if you can find a spot. The room needs better curtains because a lot of light came in at night. Breakfast was a bit lacking compared with even cheaper hotels. They should add muffins and a waffle maker.

For the price, this is a decent hotel in a very convenient downtown location. I liked the views, cleanliness, amenities like the pool and small fitness center, and the value. The front staff felt unwelcoming, and the free breakfast was terrible enough that I’d recommend skipping it. The walls are razor thin with no soundproofing, so you hear everything. It seems popular with large families, but I wouldn’t suggest it for light sleepers. Still, at this price it might be worth it.

We booked and prepaid for three rooms for 22 November 2025, then arrived two days early and agreed to pay for those extra nights. When we checked out in the early hours of 23 November, they charged us twice for the final day. The receptionist wasn’t helpful when we explained, saying she couldn’t do anything until her manager came on shift. We were told the manager would contact us, but that never happened. We’ve since tried to reach the hotel for a refund and received no response, so we’ve had to ask our credit card company to raise a dispute. The customer service is unacceptable. I certainly wouldn’t use a Hyatt hotel again.

We loved being able to walk around, with the ice skating rink across the street and Mediterranean Cafe within walking distance. Spot Hero may help you find cheaper parking a few blocks away. The location and rooms were excellent, and so was breakfast. The fitness center, hot tub, and pool were nice too. We loved it here.
