Colton Motel

I’m grateful I had somewhere to sleep after the rave instead of my car. The area seemed nice and safer, and the guy in the office was really cool. He even gave me a discount from the online price, so it was only $200 for the night. It’s not the best, but I’d seen my friend’s room at Knights Inn and that one was disgusting. This room was only a little dirty, which I could deal with. I was glad my room had a working TV, AC, microwave, fridge, shower, toilet, and sink. For my germaphobia, I put my own sheet over the bed and didn’t use their towels.

The place was filthy and smelled bad. There were bugs in our bed, and the bathroom was so dirty I had to clean it before using it. Everything seemed to be falling apart. When I found a bug, I brought the manager up to see it. After I pulled back the fitted sheet, we saw holes all over the mattress. The guy was shocked and moved me to another room, but that one was just as disgusting. If I could give this place a minus five, I would.

The other hotel canceled our booking at the last minute, leaving two of us without a place for the night. The owner here was kind and didn’t overcharge us. The room was simple but really clean.

The manager here is always kind and down to earth, and it’s a nice place to stay. For me it goes Four Seasons, Burj Khalifa, then Colton Motel, though after the great service and good times I’ve had, I might put Colton Motel even higher.
