Bad Rock Bed and Breakfast Inn

After long days hiking, we liked being able to cook in the shared kitchen. There’s also a closet with things guests can borrow, including walking sticks, coolers, and binoculars, plus a library in the main house full of books about Glacier and the surrounding area. Bill was helpful with local tips, the property was beautiful, and the food was excellent. We were extremely pleased with our stay at Badrock B&B.

Room #7 – St. Mary Lake was spotless, roomy, and comfortable, and the setting was quiet and convenient for Glacier National Park. Bill’s friendly welcome made us feel like family. We appreciated the tasty vegetarian breakfast, and our son was especially happy spending time in the game room. We’d gladly stay again.

The property gave us plenty of ways to unwind, from exploring outside to relaxing in the living room, on a balcony, or in an Adirondack chair. There were snacks and drinks available, along with a library, travel guides and maps, and a closet of outdoor gear. Breakfast tasted great, and the care put into it came through. Before our June 2023 visit, Bill Evans sent helpful travel advice and asked about dietary needs. Meeting him confirmed the kind, thoughtful impression we’d already gotten from his emails. He showed us around and was genuinely interested in chatting. My wife and I loved our time at Bad Rock Bed & Breakfast and look forward to returning. Thank you, Bill!

The Swan Mt. two-story cabin had a comfortable bed, a great mountain view, and a heater and AC on both floors. The whole property was quiet, even though it was full, and we liked its location between GNP, the airport, and Whitefish. There’s plenty to do and borrow: two fire pits, hammocks facing the mountains, a large property with wildlife and free-roaming chickens, plus a game room with foosball, shuffleboard, pool, and board games. It also has a full kitchen, washer and dryer with detergent, and loaner gear like coolers, rain jackets, hiking poles, and bear spray. Bill welcomed us warmly, gave us a tour, and shared ideas for outings and places to eat. We didn’t meet Roz, but her beautiful, creative artwork is all around the house. Breakfast each morning was delicious, especially the infused waffles and Huckleberry scones. We enjoyed chatting with Bill and the other guests and came away with lots of ideas for our days. It was clear Bill cares about his work and guests, and we had a great time at Badrock B&B.
