Comfort Inn North/Polaris

Breakfast was pretty disappointing. Some of the bananas looked past their best, there was no regular juice machine, and the few basics they had were just okay. The room felt old too, especially the rough-feeling sheets, and the HVAC seemed to offer only hot or cold, with little control in between. Parking on Saturday night was a mess: snow hadn't been fully cleared, big trucks and vehicles with trailers took up several spaces, and we wound up parking at KTB next door. It's a cheap place and better than nothing, but I think there are better options nearby.

The staff were wonderful, and the hotel was clean and very nice. Our room's A/C wasn't working, but we opened the windows and didn't ask to move. The curtains were stained and need replacing, though. The kids had a great time at the indoor pool and liked the breakfast. For an inexpensive hotel with both of those, it was just what we needed.

The front desk ladies kept things calm and professional when my booking had gone missing through a third-party agency. I was pretty annoyed, but their kindness and helpfulness made it much easier to stay calm too. That kind of service matters. We're in the area quite often, and this will definitely be our hotel from now on.

The staff were really pleasant, and the spot was fairly quiet for sleeping. It's near the highway and only about 15 minutes from downtown. Still, I wish we'd spent a little more to stay somewhere else. There were stains in the room, including on the curtains. Our first room had no heat when we arrived, with it 25 degrees outside and 55 inside, so after unpacking we had to move. Our key cards quit working twice over the two days. Breakfast was rough too: the usual coffee machine was broken and the big pot they put out was empty. Apple or orange juice seemed to be out depending on the day, and the biscuits were really stale and hard.
