I work on the road and got to the hotel at 9 pm, but nobody came to the counter until 9:20. When I finally got to my room, I found blood-looking stains on the bed, bugs, and black hairs. The front desk worker came to look, then called a manager when I asked for another room. They gave me an excuse about the stain and said they were booked, so I slept in my truck. The people at the bell were banging on it for over 20 minutes during the hour I was in the room. I called the manager in the morning. She was very rude, said she'd personally washed the sheets and that the stains were pizza grease, and got unprofessional when I said they looked like blood and asked her to call the general manager because I wanted my money back. She said she'd never heard about bugs or stained sheets, but the reviews say otherwise. This hotel should be condemned. Do not stay here.

The staff were friendly and very nice, but that didn't make the stay worth it. We were told several times the hotel was non-smoking, yet there were multiple burn marks on the carpet, table, and toilet seat. There wasn't enough hot water for one person to finish a shower before it went cold. The internet didn't work, and the TV was unusable for a couple of hours. Another guest in a different room kept trying to AirPlay to the TV, which repeatedly paired with ours and reset it to the home screen. That happened at least 12 times in 3-4 hours. The walls were so thin we heard a lot from the neighbors, and around 2 am a big group was partying in the lot below our window. The place looked nothing like the pictures. Pulling in, we saw an empty, closed store behind the hotel and a desolate lot, and the hotel itself looked abandoned. Inside, it seemed cheaply put together, with carpet that rolled up or had tears, plus gaps where different wall textures didn't meet. The price felt high for that kind of construction.

The room was comfortable and clean, and check-in and checkout went fine. We did have a loose toilet seat and enough leaking from the pipes under the sink that we needed to put a garbage can beneath them. The pool was closed, and someone in a nearby room was smoking pot. At night it was hard to find the place because the sign wasn't lit on the drive you have to take to get there.

We liked the room and TV, but staffing and upkeep made the stay hard to recommend. In the stairwell, pieces of the wall's bottom edge were falling onto the floor. The hotel needs more staff and attention to the property. Breakfast was chaotic. One woman seemed to be covering breakfast, the desk, and room cleaning all at once, and couldn't keep up. Food was out, cereal was everywhere, bins were overflowing, and people were waiting to check out. She did her best. Earlier, I'd asked the front desk man to clean the room while I took three fifth-grade girls to dinner. When we returned, there were Barbie sunglasses on the floor and the toilet paper hadn't been refilled, so I doubt it was thoroughly cleaned. Getting into the pool was another ordeal. The key cards wouldn't open the pool door for us or other guests. It took a long time to find an employee, which had already been difficult, before we got in. The water was freezing and the kids soon went back to the room. At check-in, we waited 15 minutes even though we arrived at 3:15 for the 3 pm check-in. I rang the bell repeatedly as a line formed, then a very rude woman came to the desk because the male worker hadn't shown up. She said our original room was too small for our group, despite what the website said, but did move us to a larger room, which was nice. That seemed like things might go smoothly, but then one of the girls opened the bedside drawer and found a box of condoms, an unopened condom, and a wrapper. The fifth-graders didn't know what those were for, so it made for quite a discussion, especially since one wasn't my child.
