Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Columbus-Edinburgh

The staff were friendly, and they were the best part of my stay. The property itself felt dated in its appearance, atmosphere, and smell, and that really affected my experience. I didn’t enjoy staying here and wouldn’t choose it again. The owners should make major updates and renovations soon.

The room was clean, the mattress was comfortable, and the woman at the desk was pleasant and helpful. I’d stay again, but likely skip the included breakfast. The eggs and sausages were cold despite being kept in a warmer, and the orange juice didn’t taste like 100% juice. There wasn’t much variety either. The little Belgian waffles were cute and tasty, though, and the waffle maker was the best part of breakfast.

The location worked well, close to shops and restaurants, and the hotel itself was nice with some potential. But the stay didn’t match what was advertised. We booked a king room with a balcony and got two double beds instead. The desk said no king rooms were available and couldn’t help, which was disappointing. Outside, the patio was a nice extra, though traffic from nearby I-65 made it noisy. The fitness room had very little equipment, breakfast fell short, and both the hot tub and indoor pool were unavailable during our visit.

Nice rooms, a very clean hotel, and a good location. The breakfast was okay, but the setup is awkward. There’s nowhere to put your plate while serving yourself eggs or sausage, so you need about three hands to manage the lid, spoon, and plate.
