Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Downtown

The staff made our Galaxy Con 2025 trip easy from the start. The person who checked us in was a sweetheart, and they helped us haul our many bags to the room. They also suggested good places to eat and brought us extra makeup wipes when we asked. After checkout, they kept our bags so we could go to the con without needing a locker. At the pool, a kind man came over to operate the hot tub for us even though he was off duty. The hotel was spotless, the location is great for restaurants and things to do, and the people were wonderful. I'll stay here whenever I come back to the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The cold from the open front door reaches the hallways and breakfast area, so sitting there was impossible with it -7F outside. I’d also ask for a room away from the bus station next time, since the constant air brakes kept me awake. A shame, because the beds were comfortable. The location was good, staff let us check in early, and we got a welcome gift. Our room was clean and at a comfortable temperature. The fitness area was great, and the pool was okay. It wasn't especially clean, but the water was pleasantly warm despite the tub being out. The breakfast space itself is nice.

The walk to Nationwide Arena was quick, and there's no shortage of bars and taverns nearby. I stayed a couple of nights for an event and found the staff very friendly. The housekeeper noticed I’d used both comforters on one bed because I sleep cold, then made up the bed with both sets while I was out. They also put my blanket from home on top. Coming back from the event to that thoughtful touch made my night.

Nationwide Arena is about a five minute walk away, and the stay was convenient and affordable. The employees were a pleasure, but the hotel smelled of cigarettes and the rooms were very dim. Valet cost $40 a day, and for some reason I couldn't request my car. The system said it had been driven out, but I found it parked on the street.
