The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There is some road noise, so if that bothers you, ask whether they have a room facing away from the interstate.

For some reason, guests kept banging on the elevator or wall near my room, and the noise carried. I could also hear voices in the hallway clearly enough to nearly join the conversations. The outdoor fireplace area echoed up into the rooms too. Housekeeping missed some tasks, which was odd but didn’t seriously affect my stay. Otherwise, the property was pretty nice and clean, so all the noise was unexpected.

The location is convenient and the staff are friendly, but this place gets very loud. Kids ran in the hall outside our room, and the doors slam hard every time because none of them have soft closers. The shower door makes a noise like a shaving cream dispenser, only about 30 times louder. We could hear plenty through the walls from adjoining rooms, and from upstairs it sounded like an elephant was walking around. You can also hear bathroom noise within the room, so there’s little privacy there. We found a large water stain on the ceiling. The remodeled lobby looks great, though chlorine from the indoor pool lingers by the elevator, and it makes my migraines worse, so I tried not to stay in that area. There’s only one bathroom hook with two prongs for wet towels, and not enough outlets, so bring extension cords. Light sleepers should look elsewhere. If noise doesn’t bother you, it’s fine.

Abigail welcomed my wife and me at the front desk and was very polite. The staff were kind, and the place was very quiet. Breakfast was really good, and whoever is in charge of it was organized and clearly takes pride in the work. We didn’t get to try the peach pie at the open bar, but we’ll try it next time. We had a very nice stay.
