Ramada Hotel & Conference Center by Wyndham Columbus

I booked two rooms at the Ramada mainly because of the pool, but only found out after checking in that it was closed. I asked whether there was a pool and was told yes, but nobody mentioned it was under maintenance after Nebraska shut it down for code violations. I realized it wasn't open within 20 minutes of arriving. When I asked for a refund, I got the run-around. I gave them my email and phone number, but management never contacted me about even a partial refund. I paid for both Ramada rooms and then had to book two more at the Holiday Inn, which was nice but much more expensive. Management still hadn't gotten back to me almost two months later. My issue is mostly with the way they handled this, not so much the hotel itself.

The complimentary hot breakfast was spot on, and the employees were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. My room was really clean and comfortable too. One of the better hotels I've stayed at lately.

The front desk worker was great, but housekeeping was awful. There were hairs in my room, on the towels, and in the tub. Then someone banged on my door at 9:30 a.m., even though checkout wasn't until 11. I hadn't asked for a wake-up call, and it jolted me awake 45 minutes before my alarm and caused a panic attack. I couldn't swim because the pool was dark green. Not happy!

The bathroom leaked so badly that water came out everywhere, and the rooms weren't cleaned well. People were also smoking marijuana inside the hotel. Housekeeping washed my AirPods, and the owner wouldn't take responsibility. Don't ever stay there.
