Red Roof Inn Columbus West - Hilliard

At 4pm, after reserving a double room for a week, we were told the two double rooms hadn’t been cleaned or were ready because there were only 2 housekeepers. We waited, since things happen. When we came back at 8pm, the room still wasn’t ready. We’d already been charged for a room we couldn’t check into, and the attendant said the housekeeper had left to get her kids but was supposed to return and finish cleaning. Their alternative was one bed for two adults. That’s not what we reserved or paid for. We were charged for a room we never got. And there were sketchy characters hanging around, staring into cars as they drove up. This place is a disgrace.

We’re staying here for a long time, and it’s been a great experience, especially compared with our last hotel. The room was clean and well maintained from the start, and it’s quiet without people hanging around asking for cigarettes. The office and cleaning staff have treated us well. They check each day whether we need fresh linens or toiletries. There’s on-site laundry, vending machines, and a working ice machine. Coffee is available in the office all day. Thanks!

The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled smoky and awful. It was dirty, and the curtains were half torn off. There were homeless people with grocery carts in the parking lot, and the staff checking us in seemed of unorthodox stature. We had to leave; we couldn’t stay there.

The front desk service was great. My room was clean, and all the amenities were fresh and in good condition. There are lots of food places and entertainment nearby.
