Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus OSU

The pool was our son’s favorite part. It was a comfortable temperature, with plenty of room for us to sit nearby while he splashed around. We came Friday evening for his birthday weekend, and CKaila and Tanay at the front desk were so welcoming. They chatted with him about his plans and even brought up a gift with a card signed by all the front desk ladies. Our king suite was huge, with enough space to cook a full meal and let him burn off some energy. The shower pressure was amazing, and I’d love to know what brand the shower head was. Breakfast the next morning had everything from cereal to fresh breakfast sandwiches and felt like a nice restaurant buffet. They also made it easy to manage our luggage. The cleaning crew tidied the whole room on day two, and supervisor Jerri sent us off warmly and was happy to hear we’d had a good stay. We’ll definitely be back. If you’re looking for a Columbus hotel, this one’s hard to pass up. O-H-I-O!!!!!!

I’d buy a condo in this building if one were available. My room at the Residence Inn at Ohio State University was new, clean, and bright, which made it easy to get work done. I’ve stayed in darker hotel rooms that seem more suited to sleeping. The gym was a welcome change from the usual hotel setup, and I enjoyed using the treadmills and weights while looking out through the big windows. Tumie at the front desk was nice to talk with. I’m especially grateful to Lisa, the General Manager, for going above and beyond to help when I really needed it. Life on the road can be challenging sometimes.

The hotel restaurant had amazing service, and the room was clean and roomy. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful when we checked in. Best hotel we’ve found in a while. I highly recommend it.

The staff were as friendly and cooperative as could be, and the fitness room is as good as you’ll find in a hotel. The lobby is lovely, though it’s mostly because it connects to the main Marriott lobby. The real problem is the rooms: they’re dated and need renovation. We’d stayed at the renovated RI in Rookwood in Cincy the night before, so the difference stood out.
