Sheraton Suites Columbus

The pool was the big disappointment. We picked this hotel so the kids could burn off energy, but although the water was heated, the area around it wasn’t. We went in the evening with our 8 year old and 1 year old, and it felt like being outside. My husband told the front desk, and we thought they might turn up the heat or fix it, but nothing changed. Our 1 year old couldn’t even play in the water. We tried again the next morning and it was just as cold. We ended up staying in the room for our whole stay, which wasn’t the plan. Don’t expect a comfortable winter swim. The room itself was quiet, so we couldn’t hear other guests or hallway noise, which was nice with our crazy toddler. We had a bay window on the fifth floor, but there wasn’t much to see, so I wouldn’t pay extra for that. The room was very nice and clean, maybe a 7 or 8 out of 10, with clean, nice-smelling towels and everything we needed. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The lobby looked beautiful when we first walked in, and the evening front desk receptionist was kind, outgoing and full of good energy. She made my family and me feel special right away. I didn’t catch her name, but I hope you get greeted by her. Breakfast isn’t free, but it and the coffee were nice and filling. I’d read reviews beforehand, and thankfully our experience wasn’t like them.

The room was a pleasant surprise, spacious and set up with a separate bedroom and seating area, a good-sized fridge and microwave, and two large flatscreens. The toiletries were wonderful. Keena was quick, pleasant and professional at check-in, and filled me in on the hotel amenities. I had breakfast and dinner on Wednesday. The breakfast attendant was always helpful and easy to find, and Jennifer the bartender was friendly and attentive. This brand surprised me in a good way, and I’ll check it out next time I travel.

This was my first time at this Sheraton, visiting with family for my niece’s sweet 16 birthday. We had two rooms, one with a master bed and the other with two beds and a couch that pulls out into a bed. There’s a fridge, a safe, coffee, complimentary water and water for purchase. They provide Starbucks coffee you can make. There’s a walk in shower and a pool, plus meeting rooms, a bar and a restaurant. The front desk has snacks and refreshing water. It’s in the north part of Columbus. Check them out!

The room was awesome, clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was incredible, and the bed was very comfortable. The lobby felt like a higher class hotel, and the hallways were clean and well kept. The only problem was the restaurant food: I had to send it back twice, once because it was uncooked and once because it was burned. Kaitlyn at the front desk handled the issue superbly, and Angie the manager was exceptional too. Sheraton, if you’re paying attention, Kaitlyn’s a keeper. This could easily have been a five-star experience, and I intend to stay again in March. Train your chef, Sheraton! :)
