WoodSpring Suites Columbus NE I-270 Airport

We were in town for a funeral and arrived late. The clerk made us sign everything before we could see the room. I'd insist on seeing it first. It hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, smelled bad throughout, and the light switch by the bed was melted, which felt unsafe. The door stuck and took 5-6 pushes to open. The front desk clerk was uncaring and refused extra pillows or blankets, saying, "We don't do that." When we booked through a third party, we were told we weren't really their customer and had to take complaints to that company. Choice Hotels customer service told us the same. The clerk also wouldn't give us a receipt. We felt unsafe because of the electrical problem and disgusted by the room, so we left at 11PM. Nobody offered another room or help finding a hotel. We had to drive 35 miles in the middle of the night through an unfamiliar metropolitan area to find somewhere else, but it was worth it. I'd have slept in the car before staying there, and I wouldn't put my family there even for one night. If I could rate it zero, I would.

I found roaches in the room and had to kill one. The owner was rude and didn't know how to speak professionally when I tried to explain a service complaint. They don't communicate information or hotel policies clearly to guests, and they don't seem to care whether customers understand what's going on.

We spent two months here for work and had no complaints. The location is great, and the staff and management were wonderful, doing what they could to meet our needs. Our job here has ended, which feels bittersweet, but we'll definitely return to ti's motel if we're back in the area. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Brianna was amazing and helped me with anything I needed. She was always there when I needed help. The cleaning lady did an incredible job with the room and made sure everything was taken care of. All the staff did great, and Brianna went out of her way to make my stay nice. Thank you.
