That was the worst $100 hotel stay I've ever had. The carpet smelled awful, paint was peeling, and there was a long black hair in the shower. The mattresses felt about ten years past their best and were VERY uncomfortable. When we entered, the room was around 100 degrees and took at least two hours to start cooling off. At check-in, the staff member kept repeating, "NO PETS, NO SMOKING" at least six times. Really? I understood the first time. If this is "America's Best," we're in trouble. I'll pick Air B&B next time.

On the way to Lamesa Tx, we stopped for the night. The room was great, the price was reasonable, and the people at the desk were really friendly. Check-in went smoothly 😊

The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the rest of the bathroom was tidy too. The shower setup is a little odd, with two heads on opposite sides of the tub, so the water drained a bit slower than normal. I called ahead because I wasn't arriving until after midnight, and someone from the staff still came to meet us in the lobby. Fantastic service at this Americas Best Value Inn.

The bathroom was comfortable, the room was clean, and the TV had direct tv, which you don't often see in rooms anymore. I'd come back for another quiet, comfortable stay.
