I found this place while working around Kerrville/Comfort, and I’m so glad I did. The peaceful feel made it easy to step away from everyday chaos and relax. The room was stylish but cozy, with everything I needed, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I woke up feeling refreshed. The owners have clearly put care into all the details. It felt like a destination in itself, and I’m already looking forward to another visit to Comfort. I can’t recommend it enough.

The turntable and vinyl selection were such a fun touch, and Shari had thought of every detail. We felt right at home, with everything we needed and more in a warm, inviting place. Shari was helpful and quick to respond, and never made me feel like I was bothering her. We enjoyed Christmas shopping in Comfort, where the shops welcomed us, and supporting small businesses. We also joined Singing Waters Winery, and we’ll definitely stay here again when we return to the winery. Our home away from home!

The Wanderers Retreat made our birthday girls’ trip to Comfort even better. I stayed in the airstream and really liked the outdoor shower. The beds were comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and there was a dipping pool. We also had great food within walking distance, went shopping, and made succulent gifts for each other at a nearby plant store.

I’ve already booked another stay for summer! I loved the “Traveler.” It was spacious, very clean, and modern, with everything you need. The hot tub was a great extra, and the quaint place is well situated for attractions like San Antonio, Fredericksburg, and the River.

A clean, cozy, comfortable and cute spot for a romantic break from the city. Shari was responsive and a pleasure to work with. We had a great stay and are looking forward to coming back.
