Royal Inn Motel

It’s a basic place with a bed, shower, and Wi-Fi. My room was plain but clean, and the staff checked me in quickly and professionally. The location near the 110 freeway was convenient, and the price worked for a short stay.

The whole place needs fumigating. There were spiders and cobwebs everywhere, the AC didn’t work, and roaches were even in the outside trash cans by the stairwells. I saw them throughout the room too, including on the bed meant for a baby that was pushed against the wall. There were babies and grown roaches running around, and I was scared to sit down. Three big ones ran into the bathroom when I switched on the sink light because the room lights didn’t work. The bathtub had roaches as well. This place is nasty and infested, and the weekly residents aren’t clean at all. Management was cool, but otherwise, never stay here. It’s a waste of money, and I guarantee you’ll leave with something you didn’t arrive with.

The staff were nice. At first the place looked clean, but there were dirt specks and little roaches in the bathtub. I guess that’s better than big roaches. The AC didn’t blow cool air.

There wasn’t a fridge or microwave in the room, and the staff were rude and wouldn’t move us to another room. Roaches covered the bathroom floor and tub, and I woke up with bedbug bites. When I said the room was dirty and asked if they could clean it, they told me, “we don’t do that because of COVID.” Like what? That should be more reason to keep rooms clean when people are coming and going. I don’t recommend staying here, and I won’t be back.
