Executive Inn and Suites

After arriving on a foggy, cloudy night, I was glad to find a cozy bed and a hot shower. The room wasn’t flashy, but it was comfortable and had what I needed. Front desk service stood out: quick, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They found me the best available rate and surprised me with an upgrade to a top-floor room.

The accommodation didn’t live up to the excellent service. The first room smelled strongly of cigarettes despite the non-smoking policy, and I found a burnt incense stick on an electrical socket. The interior safety lock was broken. I reported it, and the lovely, courteous young woman at the front desk promptly moved me to another room. That room was dust-free and cleaner, but still visibly dirty, with a grimy wall, broken dresser, and soiled toilet seat cover, as shown in the images. My partner and I were too uncomfortable to stay and didn’t spend the night. The front desk employee greeted me warmly and explained the standard $50 non-smoking deposit professionally. She’s an outstanding representative of The Executive Inn. The hotel needs to address the serious room cleanliness and maintenance problems.

The rooms are bigger than most, with a half wall separating what feels like a living room from the bedroom. That’s a refreshing change from a cramped room with just a bed. There’s a working microwave, mini fridge, dresser for storage, and the AC and heat work too. The staff are accommodating and friendly, and they seem to genuinely like their jobs. They’ve exceeded my expectations every time. This is my go-to hotel when I stay in Sacramento. It’s incredibly affordable and less than a mile from downtown. Despite the homeless people on the streets nearby, they take plenty of precautions for safety and security. I could brag about this place all day. It’s the best place to stay here without breaking the bank or your mental health.

We slept well, and the property felt safe despite homeless people around the area. It’s close to downtown, and both the property and rooms were clean. The front desk guy got us checked in smoothly. The rooms are very big and have clean bathrooms, a TV, refrigerator, and wifi. I’d suggest staying here.
