The quiet town and library right across the street made this feel like an ideal introvert getaway. Concrete has a lot of history, and there’s clearly been a lot of care put into the historic markers and walking tour guides. You’re also near forests, dams, mountains, and plains where elk roam. Heather and Brandon know the local history and sights, respond quickly when called, and make you feel more like friends than customers. They work well together and have put a lot into this historic building. The place is a unique experience for a very reasonable price, though some decking and stair wood needs replacing. You get something more like an apartment than a single room: a living room, hallway, large bathroom, and bedroom, with a TV in both the living room and bedroom. There’s a microwave, minifridge, and bar sink with counter. It was genuinely clean, including spots on the carpet that had been cleaned before we arrived. If you want to check in, settle into a home away from home for a few days, and relax, it’s a great place to do that. It’s the sort of spot you almost don’t want others to discover, in case developers follow and destroy it, but for exploring the area and unwinding, it’s perfect.

We booked with our fingers crossed that the room would match the reviews and pictures. It turned out to be even better than we expected: really clean and spacious, in a cute little town. The lady at the desk was super sweet, too.

Heather reached out with the check-in details and was very helpful. The room was cozy, clean, affordable, and just what we needed, so we had a great stay. Concrete has a really cute Main Street within walking distance of the inn, and we had a great time there.

We felt safe here, and the staff were extremely friendly. The room was spacious and worked well for our family of three. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need, and they’re still working on updates to the service. The little street has lots of history. Check out Bear Square next to the hotel for the history, and the theatre across the street. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place for a quiet, memorable visit.

Concrete is a uniquely small town with friendly people, and I’d stay here again. The hotel is on the main street, near the public library, movie theater/ice cream parlor, hardware store, laundromat, florist, and a tavern with great food. I stayed for three days last week. If you’re passing through on your way up the Cascade Highway, or visiting Concrete for a day or night, I recommend staying here. A. Anderson
