We were so grateful for Jessica and Rick Watkins after a last-minute brake problem cropped up during our road trip to the Painted Hills. Jessica found a mechanic for us the next morning, then drove along with us to the shop and introduced us to the people at Watkins Repair. I don’t think it has a formal storefront, but they did excellent work on short notice. Everyone in town was wonderful over Thanksgiving weekend. The motel was clean and comfortable, and I wish I knew what mattress was in our room because I slept better than ever. There was a TV, coffee machine, and microwave for heating up our “thanksgiving dinner.” My dad even got another remote so we could connect a laptop and watch a movie. We stayed here Thanksgiving night, and I couldn’t be more thankful for all the help getting back on the road.

For a quick, inexpensive night, I was quite happy with the room. It was clean and had a coffee machine, WiFi, an empty fridge, TV, and bathroom. The shower’s a little small, but I slept well and the room was great for the price. Service can be a challenge with just one family running everything, though the whole town of Condon keeps limited hours. The hosts were otherwise very welcoming.

The owners were so nice and accommodating, and the rooms were clean. A great little motel if you’re in the Condon area. Highly recommend it.

A quiet spot with a good heater, mini fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. We bring our own coffee pot, but it was there. The bed was comfy, and the bedding was adequate and the bath towels fluffy. Very clean, too. The only thing that bothered me was the awful water pressure. The hot water seemed to take forever to arrive. Still, give this little place a try!

We had a clean, comfortable room and the hosts were very gracious. With several construction crews staying there, they went out of their way to find us a quieter room. The heat worked great, and the WiFi connection was fast and strong. I’m not sure why the motel has a lower rating. I’d happily stay again or recommend it to others. Posted 11/21/2019
