Motel 6 Conroe, TX

The service made an already awful stay even more frustrating. They tried to charge me $10 for a replacement key, despite getting the nonworking keys back. I had only two towels over five days, they wouldn't provide trash bags, and they wouldn't lend cleaning supplies, but still insisted I clean the room before checkout. The room itself was in terrible shape: mold in the bathroom, a leaking shower, a toilet that wouldn't flush, and more cockroaches than I could excuse even in a Texas summer. The sheets were stained and covered in cigarette burns. The room was poorly insulated, and the AC unit looked like it was nearly falling off the wall. There were stickers on the light sockets, and an unsecured bedside desk fell and damaged my things. I travel around the country for work and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This was the worst Motel 6 I've experienced for both the room and the service. The positive reviews seem fake and written by management. I saw later reviews confirming that others had similar complaints. Calling the property unsanitary and the service unprofessional isn't an unfair description. Your response was dishonest and offensive. You're welcome for the business.

My mom and I just checked out after staying for over a month. The rates were fair, though $1,600 for a room is still a lot. The internet kept dropping and ran slowly on all our devices, even a brand new one, and the ice machines broke down several times. We also saw roaches. It worked for us when we needed somewhere to stay, but charging that much for a place with these problems feels like a missed opportunity. About the response: I never declined room service. My son was in the room every day, and they hardly came by. We didn't tell anyone not to clean, so blaming us for declining service isn't good customer service and isn't true. Since moving, all my devices work much better online, without the issues we had at this motel. A polite and honest reply would be more concerning than an untrue one. Neither person in my room ever turned away cleaning, aside from the bed when we were using it. Most visits, they just asked about towels and didn't offer to clean. Both ice machines were out of order for days. The front desk said there was a leak, and we had to buy ice or drinks instead.

The pool was spotless, and the location by Interstate 45 worked perfectly for us. I stayed in a Deluxe Room with brand-new furniture and a very comfortable new bed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the property felt peaceful and safe. Such a relaxing stay at Motel 6 Conroe, I'd recommend it for comfort and peace of mind!

Sam was the one person who really helped. He listened and sorted out the sheets and towel problem the night before. Before that, I'd talked to four different people over 12 hours just to get clean towels. We had only two for a room booked for four, and after a long day I came back to find nothing had changed. When I asked again, I was told to wait until morning. It was especially frustrating that staff called and knocked around 11:30 p.m. over an extra dog, but couldn't bring two clean towels to paying guests. The manager, morning desk clerk, housekeeping, and night clerk all failed to follow through on a basic request. Disappointing, unprofessional service that could easily have been avoided.
