Hotel West & Main Conshohocken Philadelphia, Tapestry Collection

The room was clean, modern, and nice, with a comfortable enough bed and a fairly quiet atmosphere. The pillows were softer than I prefer, though that's just personal taste. The location is really nice, and the building looks beautiful from outside. Our one-night stay wasn't bad, but the service at check-in and checkout left a sour impression. The woman at the desk seemed miserable and wasn't welcoming. The garage across the way was confusing, and after checking in my husband had to return to the car to move it because we hadn't parked in a designated spot. At 11 PM, that was the last thing we wanted to deal with. Parking cost $20 a day, and we were charged the full amount even though our car was there from 11 PM until around 9 AM. The poor customer service would probably keep us from coming back.

Right in the middle of Conshohocken’s restaurant district, Hotel West & Main made a great base for the weekend. Dave, the concierge, greeted us warmly and told us about the building’s history and renovation. The hotel is a restored 19th-century firehouse, and it still has plenty of historic character. Our room paired that charm with a modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace, which looks out over the town green. Highly recommend!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving to visit family and had a good experience. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and the bathroom was nicely equipped. Staff were consistently friendly, though the cleaning was uneven. The location works well for business or a casual trip. An Uber to Reading Terminal and the art museum was about $37, and both are must-sees while you're here. We'd be happy to book again.

The room was clean and the dining was exceptional, but the New Year's Eve party situation put a damper on the stay. The hotel had promoted the event, and we'd tried to get tickets, yet when we arrived we found out it was sold out. The manager said there were no spots reserved for hotel guests. We'd spent nearly $1,000, so it was disappointing not to have any priority. It didn't ruin the night, but it left a bad impression. Reserving places for hotel guests would have made the experience better.
