Hampton Inn Conyers

The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and knew their stuff. I would have rated it five stars if the shower doors weren't so difficult to open. The glass doors had slipped down in their brackets, and even though I'm fit and in my thirties, I struggled with them. My parents wouldn't be able to open or close them. The shower shelf also needs fixing. The sink had no drain stopper, so even a fairly large item could easily go down it.

Our choir group had reservations for a few weeks, but none of the rooms were ready when we arrived. There weren't any lids for the coffee cups either. On our departure morning, during the major ice storm, the power went out and they had no generator. Is that normal for a place like this? With the elevator not working, we had to haul our luggage down three flights of stairs. Not a fun start to the day.

The hotel was clean, and breakfast was okay, but management was probably the worst I've experienced at a Hampton. Staff spoke English poorly, and when they said they didn't know how to change the smoke alarm battery, I had to move rooms at 2 a.m. It didn't feel up to the standards of other Hampton Inns I've stayed at.

The booking had an issue about needing another card on file, even though everything had already been taken care of. The front desk man tried to sort it out but needed the manager's approval. When Mark came over, he took my coworker's phone to talk with our boss, then said he'd been there since 7 a.m., it was now 10 p.m., he didn't work weekends, and couldn't help. We had to either rebook with another card or find somewhere else. After driving through four states on a work contract, we had no choice but to rebook for the night using our personal accounts. Even if we'd misunderstood something, the way we were spoken to was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The staff, especially Mark, were rude and disrespectful. I'm extremely dissatisfied and will never book here again or recommend it.
