Comfort Suites Cookeville

For a quick bite before getting back on the road, breakfast was simple but good, and the staff were fast and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located off the freeway, with spacious, quiet rooms at a good price. Our two queen beds were clean and comfortable. There were nice TVs, though not many channels, and the bathroom was clean. We also had a small sitting area in the suite where we could stretch out.

The rates were very reasonable, the rooms were nice, and the beds comfortable. Staff were very friendly.

The elevator worked sometimes and failed other times, and there was nothing particularly impressive about the place. We moved the mattress, as we always do when checking for bugs, and found used Kleenex, a dead ladybug, and lots of hair. Bring your own shampoo: they supplied conditioner, a small disc of soap, and lotion. Luckily Walmart was just down the road. We also had to sign a waiver saying no food of any kind could be brought to the room, and it all had to be eaten in the dining room or front lobby. The place could use a deep clean.

The front desk was service-oriented and the service was great. The room was clean and updated, and the atmosphere was clean and friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's a fresh step up from some of the Comfort Suites I've been in lately, which makes me want to keep Comfort Suites as my go-to when traveling.
