Baymont by Wyndham Williamsburg

I can't comment on the rooms since I never stayed. Before my booking, I was notified it had been canceled because the hotel's room card machine was down. A week later, there was still a charge of over $100 on my card, and the customer service phone rang without anyone answering. Not a great first impression. You may want to look elsewhere.

I saw a roach on my last day, after a week in this disgusting place. The walls and floor were nasty, the doors had to be slammed shut, and the handles felt like they might fall off. They never took my trash, and I had to ask several times for towels. There wasn't breakfast, though I wouldn't have wanted to eat there anyway. I'd sleep in my truck for a week before staying here again. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

We bought two rooms for our group and asked for adjoining rooms. The front desk said they were sold out, even though the parking lot was empty. There was mold in the shower and a used shampoo bottle left there, so it seemed housekeeping hadn't even tried to clean it. My brother woke up with an allergic reaction from the bathroom mold. Another person in our group got stuck inside when the door handle fell off and had to wait for maintenance. The hotel shouldn't advertise breakfast or an indoor pool when neither was available. The night turned into a joke, and the elevator added to the sketchiness: it freezes and shuts off while you're off the ground. This hotel should be condemned.

The pool was out of service, and I would've liked breakfast included. Still, I'll come back because I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were nice and accommodating, my room was clean and had a phone, and the price wasn't ridiculous. I've been working around here, and most hotels I've seen have been dirty or under construction. Thanks, Baymont, for making checkout easy.
