At about 2:30 in the morning, I went to the front desk for a plunger after I accidentally clogged the toilet. We hadn't been given one in the bathroom. The night manager got up, barely looked for it, then gave up and moved us to another room instead. That meant packing our eight bags and suitcases, with our things spread around the room, and hauling everything over at that hour. We were finished around 3:30 AM, and I got maybe three hours of sleep. We had only booked for one night, for my girlfriend and me. I'm really unhappy that a simple request for a plunger turned into all that.

Breakfast was just OK, though at least it was warm. The apple juice tasted more like flavored water, and staff didn't seem bothered when I mentioned it. The service was the bigger problem: the man checking us in was unfriendly, and the women working in the morning were unhelpful and not a pleasant start to the day. They acted like they didn't want to be there. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The hot tub area was still dirty the next morning, more than 12 hours after we first reported it. The poop by the tub hadn't been cleaned, and people had continued using the hot tub all night. It wasn't until a kind blonde staff member overheard us at breakfast and hurried to clean it that anything happened. We had told several staff members that day and the next morning, before checkout, asking about a room discount or at least for the mess to be cleaned so we could swim. Each time, they said they'd tell the manager, but no one followed through. The front desk man said he'd call the manager, yet didn't close the tub or seem in a hurry to deal with feces just inches from the water. We came mainly for the pool and stayed one night. After checking in, we swam for about two hours before noticing feces smeared on the floor and pieces of poop in the left corner by the hot tub. One person with us nearly put their head right by the pile when they leaned back in the tub. We initially gave the staff the benefit of the doubt, since these things can happen around pools, but their response was awful. The staff were kind but incredibly unhelpful, and there was no manager there. It felt like they didn't care about guest safety. Terrible experience. Stay far away and go somewhere else.

I've stayed at this Hotel for over 10 years and tried other places nearby, but none compare. The staff are wonderful, and the lobby is peaceful and inviting, with a beautiful fireplace. I like that there's hot, fresh coffee available around the clock, plus a good range of teas. Breakfast is great too, especially the Belgian waffles. Every room I've had has been one I liked, and the beds are very comfortable for me. They provide what you need, and the front desk has complimentary toothbrushes and other items if you forget something. There's also a cute little laundry room and a relaxing pool area, even when I'm traveling alone for business. I've watched them do deep cleanings several times, so I appreciate how thoroughly they sanitize. I always feel treated like royalty and want to return.
