Best Western Cooperstown Inn & Suites

We got in at 11pm and left by 9:30 am, so it was a super short visit, but the place was clean and we slept well. The night staff were friendly when we arrived. Having a fridge in the room is always helpful. A random bonus was the amazing shower pressure.

We were pretty disappointed, and I have to echo what other reviews have said. We booked a junior suite for six, but got a room in the second building that looked like it might be handicapped accessible. The hallway had food crumbs and chunks, as if it hadn't been vacuumed. Our door was broken and had to be slammed to shut. The so-called junior suite was just a regular room, with a very worn and uncomfortable sofa bed separated from the other beds by a rickety half-wall. The shower had no raised edge, and the curtain didn't reach the floor, leaving the whole bathroom sopping wet. Our window faced the McDonalds drive-thru. The pool and workout room were open only from 8:30am-9pm. For what we paid, I expected at least a clean, working space. I wouldn't stay here again. Cooperstown is beautiful and quaint, but this hotel had none of that charm or even basic functionality.

The staff were thorough and accommodating, and breakfast was great. The value can't be beat, and it's a short drive from downtown Cooperstown and nearby areas. We spent five days here in the off season, staying in the separate building we jokingly called our chalet. We were out most of the time and mainly used the room in the evenings. It was quiet and clean, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub when we could. Check-in and check-out were seamless. There are electric charging stations for electric cars, ramps, and an adaptive aquatic chair to help someone using a wheelchair access the pool. I can't say enough good things about our stay.

The staff are top notch and friendly, and manager Scott was kind. When we had a room problem once, he took appropriate action. Breakfast is consistently good and has several food options, so we'll keep coming back. In the summer, we keep our camper at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Campground, and after camping season ends we stay at the Best Western. We've been coming here off and on for years. Things aren't perfect every time, but the experience is consistently acceptable.
