Mohican Motel

I expected less, so this motel was a pleasant surprise. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and I could watch my streaming services on the TV. For an older place, it’s well maintained, and my room was tidy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice. Considering how central the location is, the price is a steal. I’d definitely stay again.

I was very happy with our room here. My review of a different motel somehow ended up under this listing. The location is great, and there was plenty of hot water. The room had a bit of a musty smell at first, but it went away. We couldn’t change our check-in time, which was inconvenient, so we made the best of the three hours before check-in. The beds are very soft, with a topper you sink into, so this won’t suit you if you want a firm bed. There’s also a large step up into the room.

It’s a small place, but it was amazing. Great location, clean rooms, and excellent staff and customer service. Everyone was so accommodating, and it felt like a home away from home.

I’d give the service five stars: the room was cleaned daily, the bed made, and the towels were soft and fluffy instead of the rough ones at a major chain. The rainfall shower head was a nice touch, and the location was ideal, three minutes from HOF and Cooperstown Diner and ten minutes from Dreams Park. I’m giving four stars because it’s still a motel. The room had a musty smell, and box fans were airing it out when I arrived. The bathroom door rubbed against the carpet, which didn’t bother me, but I did find it funny. It was exactly what I needed, and I’d stay again.
