The people at their Garden City location were great and knew how to help, but this location's customer service was the worst I've ever seen. I was trying to book a room and use my corporate account for direct billing. The woman at the counter kept saying she couldn't do it because she didn't know how, and the general manager was on vacation. I asked if she could call someone to find out. She told me I should figure it out and explain it to her. When I asked if I was supposed to do her job, she said yes, then told me to call back once I knew how and hung up. I called their corporate number, but was told the escalation manager couldn't do anything because the general manager was on holiday.

The room was nice, and I especially liked the bathroom layout. The rest of the staff were kind, and my husband and I enjoyed the stay, though I didn't feel safe outside because the location seemed sketchy. The front desk woman was the reason I couldn't give five stars. On our first day, my husband and I said hello and asked how she was. She looked us up and down, gave us a sour look, said "good" with an attitude, and walked off. Later, she told me my husband had dripped coffee on the floor and said I should make sure he cleaned up after himself next time. He hadn't even noticed the few drops, and neither had I. I apologized and said I'd tell him. She never greeted me after that, while she was warm to other guests and friendly to my husband when I wasn't with him. I was polite to her, so I couldn't understand why she was so cold toward me. I started keeping to myself and acting as though she wasn't there. She was often on her cell making personal calls and taking her time with work. One morning the coffee thermos was empty. I saw her set up the coffee maker without brewing any, then wait while I stood there for several minutes, still chatting on her phone even though she knew I was waiting. I got frustrated and left. She made me feel like I was beneath her, singled me out for no reason, and didn't do her job properly. She was unprofessional and should be fired, and needs a serious attitude adjustment. Thanks to the staff members who made us feel welcome.

The property is older, but it's kept up well, and the rooms are small and clean. The staff were amazing and friendly. They listened to my concerns and took care of them right away.

I've stayed here a few times and found it decent for the price. The staff have always been friendly, and I haven't had a problem with anyone. While I was looking for an apartment, I had to stay at several hotels, and red roof was one of the better cheaper options, under $150 on weekdays and $180 on weekends. Across the street there are Wendy's, big lots, a gas station, and a few other stores, so the location is convenient. My room had a mini fridge, working microwave, and an iron and ironing board. The iron came in handy for a wrinkled button-up shirt, and I was relieved to find it in the closet.
