The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This place is as described, basic, but it does the job for a night. There weren’t paper towels, shampoo, or AC. When I needed help finding my room information, someone at the bar greeted me pleasantly.

The price was good, and everyone staying there was nice, as were the staff. The room was very clean and smelled good. There’s a bar and a food truck on site. I’m not sure why it’s rated two stars, because this place is great!

Friendly staff explained everything to us. We stopped here for one night midway through a round trip between Fairbanks and Anchorage. The motel was decent, with basic things like a microwave and refrigerator, and the rooms were small but clean. The bathrooms were outside the rooms and shared, but a code kept access limited to guests. Both bathrooms were clean and very large, with separate facilities for men and women. They also had a bathtub, washing machine, and dryer.

The area is beautiful, and I’d stay longer another time. We spent one night passing through and got a real local Alaska experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and having a kitchenette was handy. The bar was great, and the host was friendly and knew the area well.

The room was nice and quiet, and it was an interesting place to stay. I’d been looking forward to seeing the model train area, but it was closed for construction. Some shampoo for the shower would be a good addition.
