We had five adults in the suite and didn’t feel cramped. The hotel’s well placed, with shuttle service to all the villages and lots of stops right out front. Staff were great and handled our requests quickly. There’s a spacious hot tub and a large bar and dining area where you can buy food and drinks. Joining Cambria rewards is free and gets you $25 off parking per night, which I’d recommend. We’d happily stay again.

The staff were courteous and quick to respond, and breakfast was good with a decent variety. It’s an easy walk to Copper Mountain Center Village, or you can take a shuttle bus, though it’s not ski-in/ski-out. Rooms have a small fridge but no microwave; there’s one on the first floor. They’re cramped, with just three dresser drawers, a freestanding closet, and no seating beyond a desk chair and the beds. The shower and the dressers and furniture could use a deep clean. Noise was the main reason for my rating of 4 instead of 5: outside, hallway, and upstairs sounds came through loudly because the insulation isn’t enough. Kids ran and screamed in the halls, a dog barked across from us for the first two nights and days, and we could hear voices and TV from above and next door, even when nobody was partying.

The location is why I’ve returned for four years. It’s the only hotel at Copper, just a short walk to Copper’s Center Village, and the hot tubs are great. It’s been Cambria for the past two years, but the atmosphere felt less welcoming this time, and I won’t be back next year. Last year they tried to charge for lobby coffee. This year there was no lobby coffee or water at all, so you had to order coffee from the restaurant in the morning. The two member breakfast waitstaff weren’t up to making individual coffees, and every cup came from an espresso machine one at a time. Rooms have a tiny espresso machine with pods, but no regular coffee maker. Another change: free parking at Copper used to be the perk that made a $300-a-night room worthwhile. Now Cambria charges $50 A NIGHT for parking, on top of the room, and coffee is $4 a cup. What an odd set of choices.

We had a pleasant stay while skiing Copper for three days. The best part was being close to the village and lifts, and the price was affordable. The rooms were clean and fine, though nothing fancy. The gym has all the equipment, the hot tub was great on cold winter evenings, the beds were comfortable enough, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We skipped the restaurant, since the village has plenty of food and drink options. Don’t expect five-star comforts, amenities, or service, and you should be happy here.

The rooms were clean, the towels too, and there was plenty of hot water. We’ve stayed twice over the past few ski seasons and had a consistently good experience both times, so we’ll come back. The front desk and housekeeping staff were especially friendly and helpful. The hotel has great views and hot tubs, and it’s handy for the lifts and Center village restaurants, with a shuttle stop nearby for East or West village. We never ate at the restaurant because there are cheaper choices in the village, but the coffee is yummy. It’s generally quiet in the rooms, though you can hear a loud neighbor.
