Right at the bottom of the hill, near the American Eagle lift. A great place to stay.

Hot tubs, plenty of places to eat and drink, and you can ski straight in and out of your room. Hard to want anything more.
Mountain Plaza sits in a great spot, and Copper Mountain itself is an excellent ski resort. But the building's walls are old and extremely thin, and the owner-furnished units aren't described clearly. I'd pick a different condo next time I stay at Copper.
The slope views were nice, and getting around from the hotel was convenient. But after checkout I realized I'd left clothes in the closet, so I called the front desk about two hours later. They shipped most of my things back at my expense, which was fine, but said they couldn't find my Melly. Housekeeping claimed it wasn't there. I think that's BS, and suspect it'll turn up on Ebay for someone to make a nice profit. I tipped, too, so why bother? I can't do much except vent and warn people to check carefully for everything before leaving. If something's valuable, I worry the housekeeping staff here might take it. Maybe don't tip until they find the person responsible. I'll update this if they ever fix it. It's also a pet-friendly hotel, but the condos are privately owned, so security can't do anything if a dog in the next room is barking.
Room 702A was unbearable in summer. The windows were tiny and barely opened, so even with outside nights below 50F, it stayed around 80F in the room all night. I only managed one night and couldn't stay any longer. Management wasn't interested in helping and just said it met Copper Mountain standards.
