Comfort Suites Copperas Cove

I've been here four nights. They take the trash out each day, but don't replace the bags, and the bed still hasn't been made. The front desk clerk was asleep across the lobby when another guest rang the bell several times, though she did help once woken up. When I arrived, the indoor pool was closed “for the season” and the gym “until further notice.” The room was dirty, with food and stains in the microwave, torn carpet, and a constant odor, especially in the stairwells. There was an ironing board but no iron; the clerk had to search empty rooms because they no longer provide them in rooms. I had conditioner but no shampoo, and again the clerk searched around and gave me a few single-use bottles to get through until the next day. This is one of the most run-down hotels I've ever stayed in.

We found bed bugs in the room. After doing some research, my family found the hotel was known for them. We booked somewhere else right away, which cost us a lot, and now we have to dry-clean our clothes and replace our suitcases. Don't stay here if you want to save money or avoid bringing an infestation home.

We only chose this place because the kids wanted to swim, and at check-in we were told the pool was open. Later, when we asked to use it, the woman at the desk said she'd open it, then we were told it was closed and couldn't be used. We wouldn't have stayed if we'd known that at check-in. Our first room was dirty, and after they moved us, we found candy under the bed in the next room too. We also had to call again for sheets, then wait because they'd forgotten about us. The place felt disorganized. Bad experience, and we won't be back.

My mom had clearly booked two nights, yet she got four separate calls asking when she was checking out. The rooms were just as bad: patches were only half painted, the phone didn't work, and each two-light vanity fixture had only one bulb. God forbid there'd been any kind of emergency with no working phone. The front desk was completely incompetent. I wouldn't stay again.
