Hotelworld Inn & Suites

The room was clean, everything had been turned over, and I saw no signs of bugs. For such a low price, I was honestly impressed that the place wasn't run down. The pool was open again while we were there. I was too tired to use it, but the kids enjoyed it during the few days we stayed. Breakfast had lots of choices, the desk staff were friendly at all hours, and nobody bothered us. I also met the housekeeping ladies, who were the absolute best at refreshing our linens during the long stay. The hotel is right by a truck stop, but nothing too sketchy happened. There are lots of restaurants and a Walmart nearby, and I live, 💩, eat, and breathe Walmart. I'd stay here any time I'm in Corbin.

The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating, and the location worked well. But I was disappointed by the hotel's condition. I had to change rooms twice: the first had no sheets, blankets, or pillowcases, and the second had no A/C and was miserably hot. The third was acceptable, but the sink was clogged and I fixed it myself rather than move rooms again. The indoor pool was the main reason I chose this hotel, but it was arctic cold and we decided not to swim. Every ice machine on the property was broken; if you asked at the desk, they'd get ice from somewhere behind it. The continental breakfast was poor. Unless you're getting a steep discount, I'd pass.

An inexpensive, wonderful place to stop, with easy truck access and enough parking for trucks. Right out front is what may be one of the best barbecue places to eat, and you can't miss it.

It's a decent place overall, with friendly staff and an affordable room for sleeping. My main gripe is that Expedia says there's a hot tub, but there isn't one. I booked specifically so I could soak after a day of hiking, and that didn't happen.
